Nuestra plataforma ha sido diseñada para maestros y tutores quienes están enseñando el idioma inglés como segunda lengua (L2) a los candidatos (Young Learners), para proporcionar la información esencial a los padres y a la escuela (pública o privada) con respecto al aprendizaje; familiar, académico, social y emocional por medio de una valoración continua.

Our platform has been designed for both teachers and tutors who are teaching English as a Second Language to candidates as young learners and to provide the information essential to parents and the school (public or private) regarding familiar, academic, social and emotional learning with continual assessment.

Esta plataforma, está diseñada para maestros y tutores con poca o sin experiencia de trabajo, quienes estén enseñando el idioma inglés como segunda lengua (L2); nuestra meta es también proporcionar a los tutores o maestros con mayor experiencia, nuevos enfoques útiles hacia el Aprendizaje Integrado de Lenguaje de Contenido (CLIL), Aprendizaje Adaptativo y Basado en Proyectos (TBL / PBL).

The platform is intended for teachers and tutors who have little, or no, experience of working with young children and/or teaching English as a Second Language, but our goal is also to provide the more experienced teacher or tutor with useful new approaches toward Content Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), Task and Project Based Learning (TBL/PBL).

El contenido, el proceso y el objetivo en cada nivel de aprendizaje, inicialmente se orientan a enseñar a los candidatos a comunicarse oralmente (para comprender el habla de los demás y hacerse entender). Ésta es la única manera en la que observamos que los candidatos (Young Learners) se comunican en su lengua materna (L1) hasta que tienen alrededor de cinco años (la edad en que un niño aprende a leer y escribir, obviamente, varía).

The content, process and objective in each learner level initially aim to teach young children to communicate orally (to understand others’ speech and to make themselves understood). This is the only way in which we observe children communicating in their first language (L1) until they are about age five (the age a child learns to read and write obviously does vary).

Por esta misma razón, como educadores, no podemos esperar que nuestros candidatos (Young Learners) se comuniquen en inglés de maneras que no se logran comunicar en su lengua materna o nativa. Si a nuestro joven alumno se le pide que lea y escriba en inglés cuando no están preparados o lo suficientemente maduros dentro de su lengua materna (L1), aprender a leer el lenguaje se convierte en una tarea frustrante y desagradable. Por lo tanto, el trabajo en equipo entre el profesor de lengua nativa (L1) y maestro de segunda lengua o tutor (L2) es considerado extremadamente crítico para equilibrar el desarrollo tanto en habilidades lingüísticas como en competencias.

For this very reason, as educators we cannot expect our young learners to communicate in English in ways that they cannot communicate in their native or first language. If our young learner is asked to read and write in English when they are not skilled or mature enough within their L1, learning to read the language becomes a frustrating and unpleasant task. Therefore, the teamwork between the native language teacher (L1) and the second language teacher/tutor (L2) is considered extremely critical in balancing development in both language skills and competencies.

Finalmente, los estándares dentro de la plataforma, han sido desarrollados en alineación con el Plan Nacional de Inglés Básico para México (National Plan of Basic English for Mexico), la Certificación Internacional “Cambridge Young Learners English International Certification” y los Estándares del Estado “Common Core State Standards” adoptados por los Gobiernos de los Estados Unidos y complementados con años de experiencia real y práctica por el autor y colaboradores.

Finally, the Standards within the platform have been developed in alignment with the National Plan of Basic English for Mexico, the Cambridge Young Learners English International Certification and Common Core State Standards adopted by the Governors of the United States supplemented with years of actual and practical experience by the author and contributors.
